📖 The Gospel of John — Week 9 | John 6: Feeding the Five Thousand

In Week 9 of our Gospel of John series, we dive into one of the most well-known and transformative moments in Scripture — the feeding of the 5,000. Outside of the resurrection, it’s the only miracle recorded in all four Gospels, and for a reason: it reveals how Jesus not only transforms what’s around us, but what’s within us.

Jesus takes a boy’s small lunch — five loaves and two fish — and multiplies it to feed thousands. One life. One lunch. Thousands impacted. This miracle begins with a problem… and reminds us that every miracle in the Bible does.

In this message we explore:

• Why problems position us for God’s power

• How Jesus uses what feels insignificant when we place it in His hands

• The partnership between our obedience and God’s miraculous work

• What it really looks like to trust Jesus with what we have — our time, our talent, our treasure

• The deeper transformation Jesus wants to do in us, not just for us

We also follow the rest of John 6 — Jesus walking on water, Peter stepping out in faith, and the powerful truth that living by faith means doing what we can do and trusting Jesus to do what only He can do.

If you’ve ever felt like what you have is too small, too insufficient, or too insignificant… this message will build your faith. Give God your “lunch”—your life—and watch what He can do with it.

🌟 Big idea:

One Life. One Lunch. Thousands of Changed Lives.
