“The Bread of Life” | John 6:22–71

What are you really living for?

In this message from John 6:22–71, we explore one of Jesus’ most challenging and powerful declarations: “I am the Bread of Life.” After miraculously feeding thousands, Jesus makes it clear—He didn’t come simply to give bread, but to be bread. Not just to meet temporary needs, but to offer real life that lasts.

As we begin a new year with our focus on BUILD (Matthew 7:24–27), this sermon invites us to examine the foundation of our faith and ask honest questions:

What is true life?

Where does it come from?

How do we receive it?

This passage shows four responses to Jesus—seeking, disagreeing, walking away, and believing—and challenges us to consider where we stand. We also unpack the difference between merely existing and truly living, and why every “false life” apart from Jesus ultimately exhausts us.

✨ Key Themes in This Message:

Jesus as the true Bread from Heaven

The difference between bios (existence) and zoe (real, abundant life)

Why false sources of fulfillment never last

Faith that is personal, transformational, and enduring

Receiving eternal life through belief, not performance

The message concludes with a time of reflection, worship, communion, and an invitation to make Jesus personal—not transactional, but transformational.

🙏 Whether you’re new to faith, returning to church, or seeking deeper spiritual life, this message is for you.
