The Gospel of John | Week 2
Week 2 | The Gospel of John
Have you ever felt directionally challenged—not just on the road, but in life? In this week’s message, Pastor Troy walks us through John 1:19–34, where John the Baptist shows us the way by pointing people to Jesus.
Just like John, our purpose as followers of Christ is simple but powerful: point people to Jesus. In this passage, we learn three ways we can do that:
1️⃣ Clarify His Call – It’s about God’s purpose, not ours.
2️⃣ Confess His Greatness – He must become greater, and we must become less.
3️⃣ Confirm His Identity – Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
When we live with humility and boldness, our lives can direct others toward the One who gives true life, forgiveness, and purpose.
👉 Takeaways from the message:
• Stop trying to be someone you’re not—be who God made you to be.
• Strive to be a blessing, not just a “success.”
• Choose humility—it always leads to serving.
If you’ve been heading in the wrong direction, Jesus offers you a way back. Repent, receive His forgiveness, and share your story—because when Jesus is here, anything is possible.
