Every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.

Be Able exists to engage with those in adversity by creating connections, cultivating skills, and opening doors of opportunity.

Be Able serves neighbors in Manhattan who perhaps don’t fit in, are reluctant to move forward, or don’t know-how. They have ample experiences with the fantastic social service organizations of the Manhattan area and have taken note of the growing need to serve those in the gaps. Operating from a stance of loving your neighbor as yourself, they serve local neighbors with compassion, dignity, and respect.

New international students are beginning to pack their bags and travel to Manhattan, KS! The HIS Welcome Event is in just 25 days, and our outreach ministries for the spring semester have already begun. In the midst of all the Christmas festivities and New Year celebrations, would you join HIS in sharing the gift of hope we have in Jesus Christ with new international students, scholars, and their families at KSU?

Here are some of our biggest immediate needs for the spring semester HIS Welcome outreach:

• HIS Friends - believing men & women from our HIS Partner Ministries!
• Volunteers & Supplies for the HIS welcome event on Jan. 12!

This trip is for all RHC high schoolers, college students, and young adults (cutoff age is 25). We will be partnering with Kings Castle Ministry led by Don and Terri Triplett. We will be serving as a ministry team working alongside kids and families in El Salvador.  

We will partner with the local team at Wings of Grace School to learn from, encourage, and serve one another as we gain a greater understanding of how God is working across the world and how we can be a part of it by using our specific gifts. Additionally, we will serve by hosting a 3-day ‘Summer Blast’ for all of the students at Wings of Grace!
