What are your roots connected to?

As we wrap up our Old School series, we look at the life of the prophet Jeremiah and discover that what happens beneath the surface of our lives determines what people see above it. When pressure comes, our roots are revealed. 

In Jeremiah 17, God paints two pictures: a shrub in the desert and a tree planted by water. Both experience heat and drought, but only one continues to flourish because of where its roots are planted.

How shallow roots lead to spiritual dehydration.

Why God never intended for us to navigate the wilderness alone.

God never promised a life without hardship, but He did promise to be our Living Water in every season. When we stay rooted in Christ, we don't just survive life's pressures—we become a refuge for others.

What am I rooted in?

Am I surviving spiritually, or flourishing in Christ?

What is one step I can take to deepen my roots in Jesus?

The invitation is simple: trust Him, stay near Him, and sink your roots deeper into the Living Water. As you do, watch what only Jesus can produce in and through your life.
