RHC has made it a priority to seek God first! One way we collectively do this as a church are in January and August through our 21 days of prayer focus! Together we seek God first, trusting His power alone to create lasting change in our lives, our church, and our world!
21 Days of Prayer is for You!
If you sense God has more for your life, 21 Days of Prayer is a great place to start. As you practice seeking Him first, you will see God move in your life like never before. You will start to see the power of prayer impact your relationships, work, family, and every area of your life. Here are 4 areas you can focus on.
- Pray that hundreds of people would find Jesus, be baptized, and follow Him by growing in their faith in 2018
- Pray for Pastor Troy as He listens to God to have clarity! Pray for he and our leadership to do exactly what God wants us to do
- Pray God will do exceedingly more than we ask or imagine
- Pray for F.R.A.N. (Friends, Relatives, Associates, and Neighbors) to find and follow Jesus.
- Pray God will help you make disciples this year.
Fasting isn’t about punishing yourself. Rather, it’s about intentionally disconnecting from certain things for a season, so you can hear from God and experience Him more! In the New Testament, fasting is not about mourning or sadness, it is about celebrating the goodness of God. The goal of fasting is to draw near to God. The practice of fasting has to do with eliminating distractions for a spiritual purpose; it hits the reset button on our soul and renews us from the inside out.
Starts January 8

Types of Fasts
This fast involves abstaining from eating any type of food in the morning and afternoon. This can either correlate to specific times of the day, such as 6:00am to 3:00pm. or from sunup to sundown.
This is a great option if you do not have much experience fasting food, have health issues that prevent you from fasting, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you wish to refocus certain areas of your life that are out of balance. For example, you might choose to stop using social media or watching television.
In this type of fast, you drink only liquids, typically water with light juices as an option. Consult your doctor before beginning a complete fast.
This type of fast involves removing certain foods from your diet. One example is the Daniel Fast, during which you remove meat, sweets, and bread from your diet and consume water and juice for fluids and fruits and vegetables for food.
